July 19th, 2009

The race for the 2009 FIA Formula 1 World Championship between Red Bull and new boys Brawn GP is hotting up. You can follow all the action at www.livef1.net, where you can enjoy live online F1 streaming of each Grand Prix. The next round is the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring. Follow all the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix action at www.livef1.net.

At the last race in Germany Mark Webber finally scored his maiden win after years of terrible luck. The Red Bull driver won the German Grand Prix convincingly, despite being handed a drive through penalty. Follow the Hungarian Grand Prix live online at www.livef1.net to see if the popular Australian can make it two Formula 1 wins in a row.

Webber’s team-mate Sebastian Vettel finished second at the Nurburgring, closing the gap on F1 World Championship leaders Brawn GP and Jenson Button. While the Red Bull pair appear to be working in perfect harmony the mood is considerably darker in the Brawn garage. Rubens Barrichello publicly criticised the team after a pit stop problem left the Brazilian down in sixth place, behind his team-mate Button. At www.livef1.net you can follow Barrichello at the Hungaroring and see if he can turn his season around.

Qualifying, as ever, will be vitally important at the Hungaroring. The tight, twisty and dusty track offers precious few opportunities for overtaking. It is not impossible, however. In 1989 Nigel Mansell won the race after starting from 12th. In 2006 Button won his first F1 race at the track despite starting from 14th on the grid. Watch the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix live online at www.livef1.net to see if any driver can perform a similar feat.

The 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix will be held on July 26th over 70 laps of the 4.381 km (2.722 miles) Hungaroring circuit. This makes a total race distance of 306.458 km (190.420 miles). The lap record dates from 2004, when Michael Schumacher recorded a time of 1 minute, 19.071 seconds in his Ferrari. Watch live Formula 1 streaming of the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix at www.livef1.net to see if any driver can approach the great German’s benchmark time.

Ferrari had a mixed weekend last time out in Germany. Felipe Massa finished third, but Kimi Raikkonen’s car failed. McLaren also experienced contrasting fortunes. Defending Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton’s race was compromised at the very first corner when he picked up a puncture in a collision with Webber. Heikki Kovalainen drove solidly to finish in eighth position. Watch Formula 1 live online at www.livef1.net to see if either of these great Formula 1 teams can score their maiden wins of the 2009 F1 season.

Williams driver Nico Rosberg heads to the Hungarian Grand Prix full of confidence after a fourth place finish last time out. Force India’s Adrian Sutil also showed well, until a collision with Raikkonen caused him to drop out of the points.

Take out a subscription at www.livef1.net and enjoy live online Formula 1 streaming of the remaining Grand Prix weekends, in what is turning out to be a classic season. Subscribers also have access to other major racing series being streamed online, including MotoGP and NASCAR.

Watch Spanish Grand Prix Live Online

April 28th, 2009

After four flyaway races the 2009 Formula 1 season moves to Europe, beginning with the Spanish GP on May 10th. You can watch all of the action from the Circuit de Catalunya at www.livef1.net, with live online F1 streaming of the Spanish F1 Telefonica Grand Prix.

Brawn GP’s Jenson Button heads to Spain with a healthy points lead in the chase for the F1 World Championship. He has won three of the opening four races. Subscribe to www.livef1.net and follow the Spanish GP online to see if Button can add to his tally of victories.

Button won last time out in Bahrain, but Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel was again a threat. The young German won the Chinese GP and finished second in Bahrain. Jarno Trulli was third for Toyota, as the Japanese firm continues to chase its first victory in F1. Watch the Spanish GP live online here to see if Toyota can finally succeed.

Lewis Hamilton was fourth in Bahrain, but his McLaren team will have to face an FIA hearing before the Spanish GP to answer accusations of lying to stewards at the Australian GP. Ferrari finally scored points in Bahrain, with Kimi Raikkonen taking sixth place. The Spanish GP has been a good race for Ferrari in the past. Watch F1 Spanish Grand Prix live online at www.livef1.net to see if the famous Italian team can win the race for the ninth time.

Nelson Piquet and Sebastien Bourdais are two drivers who will be hoping for better luck in the Spanish GP. Both have been comprehensively outperformed by their respective team-mates so far during the 2009 F1 season. Follow the Spanish GP live online here to see if they can improve their performance in a bid to retain their seats in F1.

The Circuit de Catalunya has been part of the F1 calendar since 1991. The 2009 Spanish GP will take place over 66 laps of the 4.655 km (2.892 miles) circuit, making a total race distance of 307.104 km (190.825 miles). Watch the Spanish GP live online at www.livef1.net to see if anyone can get near 2008 winner Raikkonen’s lap record of 1 minute, 21.670 seconds.

In the past the Spanish GP has provided little in the way of overtaking, but the 2009 F1 regulations could change that. The new aerodynamic rules mean that cars can follow each other more closely. The best opportunities for passing at the Circuit de Catalunya are at the first corner, named Elf, and turn 10, the La Caixa hairpin.

Last year’s Spanish GP saw a Ferrari 1-2, with Raikkonen winning from his team-mate Massa. On current form it is unlikely that the team will be able to produce a repeat performance, but you can follow F1 live online here to see if either Raikkonen or Massa can create an upset. The battle for victory will most likely be between Brawn GP, Red Bull and Toyota.

The www.livef1.net site will have all the action from the Spanish GP. Subscribe now to Watch Spanish Grand Prix Live Online, in addition to coverage of other major racing series including MotoGP and NASCAR.

Gulf Air Bahrain GP

April 20th, 2009

The fourth round of the 2009 F1 World Championship, the Gulf Air Bahrain GP, takes place on April 26th at the Bahrain International Circuit in the Sakhir region. Follow all the action at www.livef1.net, with Bahrain Grand Prix Live online F1 coverage and special features.

Gulf Air Bahrain GPLast time out in China saw Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel score the team’s maiden F1 victory in wet conditions. Vettel had already scored the maiden F1 win for Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso at Monza last year.

The 2009 F1 season is developing into a classic season, and all of the action can be followed at www.livef1.net, where all of the remaining races will be streamed live, providing comprehensive live online F1 coverage.

While Vettel scored his second F1 victory in China his experienced Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber had to settle for second place. Watch F1 Bahrain GP  live online streaming here to see if the popular Australian can win the first race of his F1 career.

Despite Red Bull’s success it is Brawn GP driver Jenson Button who still leads the F1 World Championship standings. The Briton finished fourth in China, behind his team-mate Rubens Barrichello.  Then came the McLaren pair, with Lewis Hamilton fifth and Heikki Kovalainen sixth. Timo Glock finished seventh in a Toyota, with the final World Championship point going to Toro Rosso’s rookie sensation Sebastien Buemi. Follow Buemi’s progress at www.livef1.net to see if he can maintain his excellent to start to the season.

Ferrari had another, literally, pointless weekend in China. You can follow the fortunes of the most famous team in racing here with live online F1 streaming of the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship.

Renault’s Fernando Alonso finished just outside the points in Shanghai, but his team-mate Nelson Piquet had a torrid time. BMW Sauber had an eventful but unproductive weekend, while Williams failed to recreate their early season pace. Watch live online F1 coverage here to see if Force India can finally score a World Championship point, after Adrian Sutil came agonisingly close to doing so in China.

The Bahrain GP is a relatively new addition to the F1 calendar. Only two teams, Ferrari and Renault, have ever won the event. Michael Schumacher won the inaugural Grand Prix in Sakhir in 2004, before Alonso went on to win for the next two years, en route to double World Championship success with Renault. For the last two years the Bahrain GP has been won by Ferrari’s Felipe Massa. Watch F1 live online at www.livef1.net to see if a new team can join the list of Bahrain GP winners.

The Bahrain International Circuit features vast run-off areas and a variety of challenging corners. Turns one, four and 12 offer particularly good overtaking opportunities. Set in the desert the circuit often has sand blown across it, resulting in an additional challenge for the F1 drivers as they battle low grip levels.

Subscribe to www.livef1.net to see who will emerge victorious in the next round of an enthralling title battle. In addition to live online F1 coverage subscribers can also follow other major racing series, including NASCAR and MotoGP.

The current Malaysian Grand Prix is held at the hyper-modern Sepang International Circuit at Sepang, Malaysia which was first included in the Formula One World Championship in 1999. The 1962-1965 seasons of the original Formula 2 Grand Prix held on the Thomson Road circuit in Singapore is regarded as an earlier precedence of the Malaysian Grand Prix, when Singapore was originally part of the Malaysian federation from 1963 to 1965. After Singapore seceded from the federation in 1965, the Grand Prix continued on until 1973. Between Singapore’s departure from the Malaysian federation and the opening of Sepang Circuit, Malaysia hosted a range of other racing tournaments at Shah Alam’s own circuit between 1968 to 1995, including the Tasman Series (1968-1972), Formula Pacific (1973-1974, 1978-1982), Formula Atlantic (1975), Formula Two (1977) and Formula Holden (1995).

Sepang International Circuit designed by German designer Hermann Tilke, who would subsequently design the new facilities in Shanghai, Bahrain and Turkey. Sepang is one of the most technical circuits in Formula One. The combination of long high-speed straights, and tight twisting complexes make the track very complicated, but also perfect for overtaking as the track itself is very wide. The drivers love it and, along with Malaysia’s distinct atmosphere, it makes for an experience unique in Formula One. The main circuit, normally raced in a clockwise direction, is 5.54 kilometres long, and is noted for its sweeping corners and wide straights. The layout is quite unusual, with a very long back straight separated from the pit straight by just one very tight hairpin. Other configurations of the Sepang circuit can also be used. The north circuit is also raced in a clockwise direction. It is basically the first half of the main circuit. The course turns back towards the pit straight after turn 6 and is 2.71 kilometres long in total. The south circuit is the other half of the racecourse. The back straight of the main circuit becomes the pit straight when the south circuit is in use, and joins onto turn 8 of the main circuit to form a hairpin turn. Also run clockwise, this circuit is 2.61 km in length. Sepang International Circuit also features kart racing and motocross facilities.

Don’t miss the opportunity to watch Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix live online. As a premium member of www.livef1.net you will not only be able to watch Malaysian Grand Prix racing live online, but you will also be able to follow live F1 preview before starting any grand prix and live formula one highlights with formula 1 news shows featuring all the behind the scenes news affecting the drivers and cars.
